Bradley Elementary

Our story begins with the 300 individual scholars who enter our doorways each day. Students in grades PreK-6 at the Bradley Elementary School delve into learning tasks, working toward building their skills as readers, mathematicians, scientists and most importantly, critical thinkers. Teachers exude a mixture of joy and urgency as they facilitate instruction that encourages children to take ownership of their learning. Families congregate outside the school for our daily morning assembly, checking in on one another and with their child’s teacher. At the Bradley, authentic relationships are developing at every level of our organization. It is these relationships, coupled with a strong vision of the engaged critical thinkers we seek to inspire, that has created the conditions for our growth. We pride ourselves on celebrating our communities rich cultural and linguistic diversity as over sixty percent of our students speak a first language that is not English.  We provide a safe, motivating, and inquiry-driven learning environment with high expectations.  Students at the Bradley School have a minimum of five enrichment courses every week that include subjects such as theater arts, STEAM Innovation, physical education and science.  Educators, administrators, families and the community work collaboratively to establish a nurturing and inclusive environment where students become courageous and confident citizens. We work together to hold a monthly Coffee with the Principal and School Family Council Meetings. We work with community partners such as Boston Ballet,  Harvard University Civics Program, Harbor Arts, and Playworks.   As a late start school we host a daily before school program here at the Bradley. This program costs $25 per week and begins at 8 AM. There are also several academic and recreational programs available in the East Boston area for students to attend after school.

Welcome to the Bradley

"When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.”
